My body had no idea what it was doing today

This morning when I got on the bus I suddenly wasn’t able to see well out of my left eye. Everything was really bright. By the end of the ride that went away and a super awesome headache started up. Once I got to my desk I could barely read anything on my computer screen; everything was too bright. I took some tylenol which I never do (I should write a post about how I am afraid of medicine) and went home. About 30 minutes later my left hand and arm were numb.

That lasted about 10 minutes then went to my leg. After that the left side of my face was numb. It felt like I just came from the dentist. When I got off the bus I suddenly had the urge to puke so I did. I hadn’t eaten so some nice yellow stomach acid blessed my taste buds. After that when I closed my eyes it felt like I was falling backwards. Jessa skipped school and took me to the doctors.

The doctor was a little confused but basically it’s a crazy combo of not getting enough sleep, too much stress, and fluid in my inner ear. It’s probably a direct result from working 15 hour days the last couple weeks but yeah, I need to get more sleep.

The medicine I’m taking makes me drowsy and spacey so this post might not make sense.

weiiiirrddddd.

Could be an ear infection. My dad had something like that, had no balance for a week. his head was constantly spinning.

Sierra says,

Oh no! It’s a migraine with aura! The aura is the weird visual thing that happens to warn you that a migraine is coming. It’s probably one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in my life and after the first one I got them every month for an entire year. Then they disappeared and I haven’t had one since. Not getting enough sleep is a huge trigger because it makes you produce higher levels of hormones. Also, you need to make sure you eat regularly (being hungry spikes your hormones too). It’s important that you get enough sleep and eat right because migraine with aura is pretty dangerous…a regular migraine isn’t that serious but a migraine with aura is actually like a mini-stroke (hence the numbness) and you should do everything you can to avoid another one. If your doctor was confused… maybe you should get a new doctor haha, because those are very classic migraine symptoms! I hope you don’t get another one!
